Steps for loading ribbon into the Zebra R110Xi for the first time - Fold a blank label around the end of the ribbon
To simplify the ribbon loading process, we recommend that you fold a blank label around the end of your ribbon. This will help you guide the ribbon through the printer.
- Open the printhead and insert the ribbon
Begin by opening the printhead and sliding your ribbon onto the rear spool. The ribbon will spin clockwise.
- Feed the ribbon through the printer
Next, slide the ribbon through the printer, underneath the small loose roller. Continue feeding the ribbon through the printhead, around the top of the front roller, and underneath the take-up-spool.
- Attach the ribbon to the take-up-spool
Wrap the ribbon around the take-up-spool until it holds itself in place. Remember that the take-up-spool will spin counter-clockwise.
